The journal “Problems of Emergency Situations” does not accept for review manuscripts in which plagiarism has been identified. Screening of manuscripts for the presence of unacknowledged borrowings is carried out at the first stage of the editorial process, upon submission to the editorial office, using the specialized service Unicheck. In the event that plagiarism is detected, the manuscript is not considered. If plagiarism is identified after publication, the editorial office conducts an investigation and takes appropriate measures, the outcome of which depends on the volume of content identified as plagiarism. When selecting responses, the editorial office is guided by the recommendations of the COPE. The procedures applied in such cases include, in particular: contacting the authors of the article in which plagiarism has been identified, obtaining official explanations, informing the management of the institutions where the authors are employed about the detected plagiarism, and notifying all indexing platforms about the detected plagiarism. The article in which plagiarism has been identified is marked with the label “PLAGIARISM” in all indexing systems, and additional sanctions предусмотрed by the License Agreement in relation to violations of authors’ authorship guarantees are applied. If self-plagiarism is identified, the manuscript is also not considered. A manuscript is accepted for consideration for publication only if its originality is at least eighty percent.
