The collection of scientific papers "Problems of Emergency Situations" is a peer-reviewed open access periodical, the editorial activity of which is aimed at forming a modern scientific environment and developing professional scientific communication in the field of fire and civil safety.

The purpose of the publication is to publish the results of original fundamental and applied scientific research aimed at developing theoretical principles, methods, models and practical solutions in the field of fire and technogenic safety.
The main objectives of the publication are:
– publication of current results of scientific research in the specialties: K8 Fire Safety and K10 Civil Safety;
– coverage of modern scientific approaches, methods and technologies in the field of fire and technogenic safety;
– dissemination of research results on the assessment, forecasting and reduction of technogenic and environmental risks, environmental monitoring, rational use of natural resources and waste management;
– ensuring professional exchange of scientific results and practical experience between scientists, teachers, education seekers and practitioners;
– support of high standards of review, academic integrity, editorial ethics and popularization of scientific results that have theoretical and practical significance.
The collection of scientific papers "Problems of Emergency Situations" is a peer-reviewed open access periodical, the editorial activity of which is aimed at the formation of a modern scientific environment and the development of professional scientific communication in the field of fire and civil safety.
The collection of scientific papers "Problems of Emergency Situations" in its activities adheres to the principles and recommendations of COPE, WAME and DORA, which provides for ensuring high standards of publication ethics, transparency of editorial processes, objectivity of review, prevention of manifestations of academic dishonesty and fair assessment of scientific results regardless of formal scientometric indicators.
The editorial board of the publication is guided by the principles of legality, professional responsibility, impartiality, confidentiality, respect for copyright, non-discrimination, prevention of conflict of interest and ensuring equal conditions for all authors regardless of place of work, academic degree, position, citizenship or other characteristics. Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of scientific value, relevance, methodological correctness, and correspondence of the manuscript to the journal profile and do not depend on commercial, personal, or extra-scientific factors.
Original scientific articles that meet the journal profile and its thematic focus in the specialties K8 Fire Safety and K10 Civil Safety are accepted for consideration.
The editorial board makes decisions on the publication of materials based on their scientific significance, correspondence to the journal profile, relevance of the topic, methodological correctness, reliability of results and conclusions, as well as the results of independent review.
The journal's publication ethics are based on the principles of honesty, transparency, responsibility, objectivity, and respect for intellectual property. The journal adheres to the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and recognizes as unacceptable plagiarism, self-plagiarism without proper disclosure, fabrication or falsification of data, manipulative citation, improper authorship, hidden conflict of interest, duplicate submission or duplicate publication. The editorial board, authors and reviewers are obliged to adhere to ethical standards at all stages of preparation, consideration and publication of scientific materials. In case of detection of signs of violation of publication ethics, the editorial board has the right to initiate additional verification, demand explanations, reject the manuscript, publish corrections, an editorial warning or retract the article in accordance with the established procedure.
